Only the Finest.

OUR QUALITY:

Our small-batch, local hemp is sustainably-grown, harvested & dried by our small family farm partners -- then CO2 processed in our USDA-certified facility & refined into the highest-quality full-spectrum cbd oil.

OUR STORY:

The Kardin journey began shortly after the 2018 Hemp Bill passed federally - making hemp farming legal in all 50 states. North Carolina’s dirt is often referred to as “Miracle Soil” for hemp due to its richness and our climate.

Over a few beers, several friends came together & decided to establish their own hemp / cbd- derived wellness products to serve the local scene in Winston-Salem, NC and beyond - for those looking for the purest, best quality products from a company you can trust.

The Kardin family consists of those who established AirtypeHeritage Harvest Farms, and several other Winston-Salem businesses.

Kardin hemp is curated on a 7th generation family farm in Forsyth County alongside wellness products such as honey, mushrooms & flowers.

Kardin is small-batch wellness made by locals for locals.

    WHAT IS HEMP?

Hemp is a variety of the Cannabis sativa plant species that is grown specifically for the industrial uses of its derived products. It is one of the fastest growing plants on earth.
Hemp has lower concentrations of THC and higher concentrations of cannabidiol (CBD), which decreases or eliminates its psychoactive effects.

CBD mimics natural compounds in our bodies which help regulate a broad range of processes that affect our everyday experiences. CBD binds itself to receptors that are involved in regulating balance in your body.

  • WHAT IS FULL-SPECTRUM CBD?

Also known as whole-plant cannabidiol (CBD) oil, full-spectrum CBD oil is a cannabis oil with high concentrations of CBD, as well as all other cannabinoids, terpenes, and trace amounts of THC found in the cannabis plant. In order to be sold legally, hemp-derived CBD products must not contain more than 0.3% THC.

Consuming full-spectrum CBD oil tends to create what's called the entourage effect, a phenomenon that occurs when cannabinoids and terpenes work together synergistically to produce a greater effect.

CBD can also be produced as broad spectrum & isolates that focus on specific strains of the cannabinoid. Think of full-spectrum CBD as it relates to a multi-vitamin. Rather than taking specifically Vitamin-C, a multi-vitamin gives you a little bit of all the vitamin benefits. The same goes for full-spectrum CBD. It’s a little bit of everything hemp has to offer.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is the second-most-common cannabinoid produced by the cannabis plant and plays a central role in making cannabis one of the most versatile plants in the world. The non-intoxicating counterpart to tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is CBD.

  • WHAT IS CBD USED FOR?
Because of the way CBD interacts with the body’s cannabinoid receptors, CBD has the potential to relieve the symptoms of a variety of ailments without pharmaceuticals.

Clients use CBD to help with sleep, pain, anxiety, stress, PTSD/trauma and GI issues in a natural way.

Although not yet approved by the Food & Drug Administration as a dietary supplement, studies have shown CBD as a therapeutic both on its own and in synergy with other cannabis compounds in what’s known as the entourage effect.

  • HOW DO I USE IT?

The FDA has yet to produce an official serving size for CBD so dosing and consumption method is up to individual preference and need. In general, we recommend 1-3 droppers per use of 15000mg or less CBD content, and 1 dropper per use of 3000mg.

Using the attached dropper, fill and squeeze the tincture under your tongue. Hold the liquid in your mouth for up to three minutes and swallow. It's helpful to consume CBD with a meal or high-fat snack, as CBD is fat-soluble, and the fat increases its absorption by four to five times.
You can also apply & rub the oil directly (or mix it with lotion) onto your skin.

It is best to start with small, once-daily doses, such as taking a few drops of CBD oil under the tongue. It is important to talk to your doctor about your daily CBD regimen, especially if you are taking other medications. CBD can interact with some medicine, and your doctor can best help you monitor your health if they are aware of your CBD therapy.

  • WILL I GET HIGH?

No. The hemp plant produces a broad range of cannabinoids, including tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the intoxicating cannabinoid in marijuana. However, hemp does not produce enough THC to create intoxicating effects when consumed.
Although the hemp plant doesn't produce a significant amount of THC, it is capable of producing the non-intoxicating and medicinally rich cannabidiol (CBD) in high concentrations. In fact, hemp-derived CBD is rapidly becoming one of the most popular forms of the therapeutic cannabinoid on the market today.

  • WILL CBD SHOW UP ON TESTS?

It's highly unlikely that CBD oil will show up on tests, which generally screen for THC metabolites. Hemp-derived CBD products are legally allowed to contain a maximum of 0.3% THC.

We offer our 1500mg THC-FREE CBD extract in case you are concerned about testing.

We’d also encourage you to speak with your employer before consuming Full-Spectrum CBD and informing them on what you are planning on taking as well as providing them with the products “Certificate of Analysis” (located via QR code on Kardin products).

  • HOW DOES KARDIN EXTRACT THE CBD?

Extracting CBD involves isolating the chemical compound from the surrounding plant material and distilling it in high concentrations. Research has shown that cannabinoids may have beneficial effects on physical and mental health, and extraction makes it possible to consume more of those cannabinoids with less effort.

Kardin applies the CO2 extraction method. CO2 is the cleanest method also used by many of your favorite juices and exhaled naturally by your body. Through the use of a pressurized chamber, called a closed-loop extractor, CO2 gas is compressed until it becomes a liquid.

The liquid is forced over the cannabis material where it strips away cannabinoids like CBD. The entire solution is brought back to temperatures and pressures at which the CO2 reverts to gas and evaporates, leaving behind the CBD extracted out of the cannabis plant material.

Terpenes are the naturally-occurring compounds that infuse cannabis with its signature aromas and flavors as well as potential therapeutic benefits. Full-spectrum CBD products rely on extraction methods that can keep these compounds intact.

  • HOW DOES KARDIN KNOW WHAT'S IN THE PRODUCT?

It’s extremely important to know what’s in any product you digest. In order to stay compliant + legal, our products are reguarly sent for Certificate of Authenticity testing (COA).

COA testing results are performed and verified by a third party, independent testing laboratory.

Our COAs verify the overall total amount (in percentage or milligrams) of CBD and THC, as well as test for heavy metals, pesticides and other contaminants. For a hemp product to remain compliant, it must contain less than 0.3% THC by weight.

You can access Kardin’s COA on the product you have by scanning the QR code on the packaging with your phone camera.
